For the Love of Joy (FTLOJ)

1. Introduction

These terms and conditions govern the sale and purchase of products through our website. You will be asked to agree to these terms before placing an order. Nothing in this document affects your statutory consumer rights.

2. Definitions

“We”, “I”, “us” — For the Love of Joy (FTLOJ) “You” — the customer or prospective customer

3. Ordering Process

  • Placing an order and agreeing to these terms forms a binding contract.

  • You will receive an inclusions collection kit after ordering.

  • You are responsible for returning your inclusions using the prepaid packaging provided, ensuring they are securely packaged.

  • We cannot accept responsibility for items lost in the post.

  • Please do not send all of your precious inclusions. If you only have a very small amount, contact me first.

  • Any changes must be agreed before work begins.

  • Each piece is unique. Variations in colour, texture, and layout are natural and expected.

Important notes about inclusions:

  • Ashes vary in colour and will affect the final appearance.

  • Hair and fur differ in texture and visibility; light colours may appear faint in resin.

  • Small air bubbles are normal in resin inclusion work.

  • Colours may vary due to inclusions and screen differences.

4. Precious Metals & Handmade Items

  • Settings are sourced from reputable suppliers and handmade with resin and inclusions.

  • Handmade rings may show natural marks or joins typical of non–mass-produced items.

  • All silver used is solid 925 sterling silver.

  • You are responsible for providing the correct ring size.

  • Handmade rings may vary by up to one UK size due to sizing tolerances. Comfort‑fit bands may require sizing down by half a size.

5. Non‑Jewellery Products

Our range may expand over time to include items that support customers through loss, remembrance, and celebration. Availability may vary.

6. Images & Videos

We retain ownership of all images and videos of work created. These may be used across our website, social media, and sales channels. If you prefer your item not to be used, please contact us before ordering.

7. Prices

  • Prices may change but will not affect existing contracts.

  • Prices include the cost of sending kits and standard postage unless stated otherwise.

  • Special Delivery upgrades are available at an additional cost.

  • If a price is listed incorrectly, we will confirm the correct price before your order is finalised.

8. Payments

  • You may pay in full or by instalment before your order is shipped.

  • Payments can be made via PayPal, Square, or bank transfer.

  • If payment is not made, we may withhold your order or cancel the contract.

  • Unjustified chargebacks will incur the chargeback amount, third‑party fees, a £25 admin fee, and any recovery costs.

  • Work may begin before full payment, but completed items will not be shipped until payment is received.

9. Complaints

If you are not satisfied with your order, please contact me within 7 days of receiving your item at sarah@fortheloveofjoy.com or by phone. For all other issues, please email with your full name and order number. We will respond within 28 days.

10. Deliveries

  • Inclusions kits are dispatched within 3 working days via Royal Mail.

  • All inclusions are returned using tracked services.

  • Special Delivery upgrades for finished items are available upon request.

  • Finished pieces are typically delivered within 12 weeks of receiving your inclusions.

  • Proof photos must be approved within 24 hours to maintain this timeframe.

  • Hallmarked items may require an additional 4 weeks.

  • Express turnaround may be available for an additional fee.

11. Inclusions

  • Only send the required amount of ashes, hair, fur, etc.

  • Irreplaceable items must not be posted unless agreed in advance and must be hand‑delivered.

  • Sending all of your material does not qualify for a refund if you are unhappy with the result.

  • Irreplaceable inclusions will only be attempted once.

  • Upon receipt, inclusions become working material for your order.

  • Unused inclusions will be returned (except breastmilk).

12. Cancellations & Returns

Jewellery & Inclusion Items

  • Full refunds are available before any work has begun.

  • If work has started, a partial refund will be issued minus materials and labour.

  • Bespoke inclusion items are not eligible for return.

  • If your item arrives damaged, faulty, or incorrect, please contact me immediately at sarah@fortheloveofjoy.com or via WhatsApp on 07816347514. I will ensure the issue is resolved promptly and with care.

Non‑Jewellery / Non‑Inclusion Items

  • Full refunds are available before dispatch.

  • After dispatch, items may be returned for a full refund minus a £3.95 processing fee and any postage costs already incurred, provided:

    • Items are returned in original packaging

    • Items show no signs of use

  • Refunds are processed once items are inspected.

  • Return postage costs are your responsibility.

  • Any reduction in value due to handling may be deducted from your refund.

  • Refunds are issued using the original payment method.

  • Priority order slots are non‑refundable.

13. Risk & Ownership

  • Items become your responsibility once in your possession or that of a nominated person.

  • Some items may contain small parts and are not suitable for children.

  • Fully cured resin is generally safe, but may become harmful if exposed to chemicals, extreme temperatures, or if trace uncured resin remains.

  • Allergic reactions to resin are rare but possible.
